Who I am
I’ve always been a designer at heart. In school, I was attracted to urban design. Up to now, much of my professional life has been dedicated to designing web content. An autodidact all my life, now I design the websites themselves.
Where I’m going
What I most enjoy is the creative freedom that comes from implementing my creative vision on a blank website. Website development is like sculpture, and HTML, CSS, and Javascript are our sculptor’s tools. My life goal is to become a full-stack developer, and to use all the tools—both the ones I know and the ones I have yet to learn—at a developer’s disposal.
What I’ve done
I have provided successful client-side copy for companies such as World Wide Stereo, OCF Realty, and Mometrix Test Prep. I have aided professors at prestigious universities such as Columbia and the University of Wisconsin in editing and preparing research papers. I have built a reputation as a beat journalist to be feared at Hidden City and PlanPhilly. My experience in consistently providing product and in working with people, and my unrelenting drive to fulfill my creative vision, lets me take on increasingly complex managerial roles.
Where I’m strong
That first word on the blank page. That feeling you get when you find one missing semicolon in your CSS and it fixes all the bugs on your page. Laying in bed until three in the morning seeing your design vision come to life in your mind. All my life, I’ve been driven by the process of creation, the act of making. It’s what gets me up in the morning, what drives me through the day.
